"Of course the compliments are pleasing but they’re for all the squad. It was important to win today and now we can focus on the cup game on Wednesday. We’re on the back of some less than positive results but we played a very good first half even if we didn’t score. We got one in the second half though. It’s good for me to feel the confidence of the coach and my teammates.

We have to stay on the road that we’re on. The new coach is here, he’s ‘the professor’ and a champion. We have to follow him to do well. I remember when I watched him when I was a ball boy and now he’s my coach, incredible stuff.

The cup is important to get into Europe next season. We’ll be playing at home and we have to do well. I hope I can stay here as along as possible, it’s the team I followed as a child and I’m happy to be here.”
